I know...It's about time!

Wow! I has been forever! So much has happened, I don't know where to start! Things are still going great with us it has just been really busy! Audrey is so full of life and keeps us hoping every minute. Our summer has been filled with fun, shopping, hunting, camping, crafting, lots of softball, trips to lagoon, visits to the zoo, playing at the park, swimming, and making a whole lot of memories! I will get photos up soon!

Catching up...

I haven't had much spare time for blogging lately so we have some catching up to do...

Of course Drew has been Mountain Lion hunting every Saturday because it's winter. Don't worry, he hasn't killed one! They just go let the dogs chase them and tree them so they can take pictures. It's apparently and adrenalain rush to play with danger! Whatever makes him happy!

Audrey loves pizza! And everything you you give her except milk! She is almost 1 so we have been introducing the wonderful world of food to her, she loves everything and despite her looks doesn't ever want to stop eating unless you give her some milk! She spits it out and gives the funniest look I have ever seen, like she can't believe I would even try to give her something so gross! If any of you have any ideas about how to get her to drink it I would love to try them out, we seriously feel like we have tried everything!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We celebrated by going to Layton City's Family Recreation Night at the Library. We meet the Lepercans, played games, and listened to story time. Of course my dad was a lepercan, as you can see! Audrey had a lot of fun!

As most of you know I am a craft-a-holic! This is my newest creation! A onesie all dolled up with a flower that buttons on so it is interchangeable! Audrey is my little model and this was her St. Patrick's Day outfit. I have gotten involved with craft fairs so I have to come up with new cute ideas all the time. I am selling these, each shirt comes with two flowers for a different look each time they are worn! I also have hair bows that match sold seperately. I am going to be making a blog for all my crafts soon so stay tuned if you are interested!

She is such a good sport! She hangs out with my manning the booth at the craft fairs and models all the cute stuff we are selling! She waves and says hi to all the people...and people just flock to see her! Here she is all sprawled out napping after a long day at the craft fair...looking just like the little princess she is!

So this picture is giving me fits, sorry it is turned wrong! Aunt Barbara spoiled her and made her this adorable princess dress! She looked darling and was acting so cute in it!

NEW JOB!

Yeah...That's Right...I Got A New Job! I can't believe that it happened so fast! The first job that I applied for I got! Everything really does happen for a reason! I will be working at America First in the Collections Deptartement and I start on Monday. Starting a new job is always stressful but I think there are some great opportunities for me at AFCU so I am excited. I will have to start full time until a 30 hour a week position opens but that shouldn't be more then a few months, it will be hard to be away from my princess more but I think the sacrifice for right now will pay off in the long run and this move will be good for our family.
Thanks so much for all your prayers and support! It was really nice to know that I had so many people pushing for me and giving me leads on jobs. I have to best family and friends in the world!

Hurry! Limited Time Offer!

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! (Though I hope you will!)
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year. {might be a little while}
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. I don't even have a clue what it's going to be.
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a homemade gift! It may not be great, but it will be fun!!
* * *Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!* * *

Idol Chatter!

It's that time of the week again! How about American Idol this week! I was pretty happy with who made it through but I was really hoping that Jun'not would be on the wild card show! I can't believe that they are bringing Tatiana back for the wild card show...are they insane, nobody will vote for her! And if they do then they are insane too! I'm also not a huge fan of the weird tone voices like Megan's but we will just have to see what happens! Tell me what you think!

Layoff...

So...although we never thought it would affect us in this way, the economy crunch has hit home for us this week. I was laid off from my job on Monday. It has been a rollercoaster of emotion as I have dealt with the questions why and what now. They had to make cut backs and so my position was eliminated...they couldn't give me any reasons why and so I have had to come to my own conclusions, but no matter the reason it is done and we have to move forward. Hopefully this will be a blessing in disguise and through the hardship we will learn a lot and become stronger while finding something better for our family. I have started looking for something else and have got some great leads but if any of you hear of anything please let me know. I am looking into translating for the courts and things are looking great for that, I also have some great leads with FedEx, America First, and a few others but I want to look at all my options. I am sure that my experience and being biligual will help me find something great. So I guess the reason I am writing this post is to see if any of you know of any leads that I can follow up on, as we all know it's who you know that often gets you in the door and then I can definately take it from there. Thanks for all your help...I will keep you updated!

THE OTHER JUDGES COMMENTS...

Ok...it's time for another American Idol run down!

So...WAY TO GO DANNY! All I can say is WOW he really nailed it! But, hey, I really wouldn't have expected less since I have been a fan since the beginning! Brent Keith really surprised me! We haven't seen him really in any of the prior shows this season but I thought he did really good. Unlike the judges, I am a country fan so I liked his song choice and he was right "Country fans won't forget it!" Also unlike the judges, I thought that Casey Carlson's preformance was cute. She really showed her personality and I thought she did well. I am a big Ann Marie fan but she could have done better last night. I agreed with the judges, for once, when they said she just didn't show off her voice enough! But of course, I still voted for her because I know she can do better! Michael really showed off his personality and I just continue to love how down to earth he is! I thought he did awesome! So those were my favorites! After the show I ran hot bath water and took a nice bubble bath while I voted for an hour!
Maybe you are wondering what I might say about my least favorite contestant...Tatiana. Well, she was much less annoying last night as she was very subdued and I unlike the judges liked that much better but I still don't like her! She was all over the place on her song and as far as I am concerned she just isn't good! If she makes it through I will know the show is rigged and I will cry!

Happy Valentine's Day!

My wonderful husband never ceases to amaze me! He is just so sweet! For valentines he surprised me with a dozen red roses (which is amazing all in itself because he doesn't buy flowers), chocolates, and the sweetest note from Audrey and him telling me how much they love me! It was just so cute...he even wrote Audrey's part as if she was writting it to me! Then he got a babysitter and took me out for a romantic date! I did the 14 days of Valentines for him giving him a different fishing lure everyday with a note that told him why "Out of all the fish in the sea" I was so glad he picked me! I must admit, I came up with some pretty good ones!

Since Audrey was our little valentine she got a little spoiled as well, but I just couldn't help it! We gave her a pink teddy bear, some darling little books, and of course her first purse! She was so excited when we took her in the front room on Saturday morning and she saw her new toys, she just squilled with delight and practically jumped out of my arms to get them! Then she made me so proud...she took the purse and put it right on her shoulder! I could have cried I was so proud that she knew exactly what to do with it! Ya...I'm sure some of you are really laughing right now that I would be so excited about something like that but hey, are you really surprised?! It was the cutest thing ever! Now she just takes it around the house with her!

Here are some pictures...

As you can see it was just a really good Valentine's! I really learned this year that Valentine's isn't just about romantic love but celebrating every kind of love that we have in our lives! Experiencing this Valentines Day with Audrey opened my eyes to that, so what I used to think was just a lovers holiday has turned into a holiday to share my love with all those that are special to me! Don't get me wrong...the romantic part was wonderful...now I just have more reasons to celebrate!

Disappointed!

Ok all you American Idol fans...here's my run down of last night...

It started as a regular Wednesday night for me...snuggled up on the love sac pretending that i'm the judge on American Idol, but it ended with me wanting to shake the judges! What were they thinking?! I seriously can't believe that they would put Tatiana through! It makes me so mad! She can't sing and she is the most annoying person ever! And what about Jamar! He is amazing and they sent him home! I thought that this competition was supposed to be about talent!
Oh well, I guess since I can't change it I will just keep cheering for my favorites that are still there...and sending in lots of votes next week! Go Danny, Ann Marie, Michael, and Lil! If any of you vote for Tatiana I will really have to hurt you, she better be the first one voted off!

Vive Las Vegas!

Drew and I just got back from Las Vegas...our little getaway for our Anniversary. We had a blast! We missed our little Audrey a ton but it was really nice to get away from work and just relax! Here are some pics...

Our Hotel...South Point. It was quite the hotel!

We even had curtains around our bed!

Paris on the Strip! We obviously spent some time on the Strip seeing all the sites, it was Drew's first time so that made it even more fun!

The dancing water at the Belagio is one of my favorites so we stopped and watched a couple shows there.

All the lights looking out over the Strip is pretty amazing!

At the Silverton there is an amazing salt water fish tank with sting rays and all kinds of huge fish!

We got some free slot play credits to the Riviera so we went and tried our luck but came up with nothin'! I really don't see how people get addicted to playing slots, it really wasn't that entertaining!

I know...wierd that I put the pic of the temple right after the gambling pic but that's just how it happened! While we were there we went and saw the Las Vegas Temple, it was beautiful and a nice break from the rest of Vegas. We did some sealings and the Temple was absolutely georgous inside.

The Freemont Street Experience was amazing! There is a canopy over the street that they show a laser light show on every hour and it was incredible. It was like visiting Vegas the way that it used to be! They had some really fun street vendors and lots of free entertainment!

While we were on Freemont Street we visited another amazing aquarium with sharks in it at the Golden Nugget. It had a waterslide that took you right down through the middle of the aquarium that was so cool!

We also spent some time shopping of course...at the outlets for me and Bass Pro for Drew! We ate at lots of great buffets, relaxed by the pool, and in the evenings enjoyed the hot tub. It was beautiful weather...in the 70's the whole time! All in all it was just a really nice getaway but there was nothing better then getting home to our little darling and having her be so excited to see us!

Picture Update!

So...we've been really busy having fun and it's time to give you some updated pics!

Audrey is crawling all over the place these days and it is the cutest thing in the world to watch her wiggle her little butt as she gets ready to go!

Audrey loves the camera! We were just playing around taking pictures because Audrey thinks it is so much fun to pose for the camera!

Audrey is a busy, busy baby!

We went Ice Skating the other week for FHE and Lil' Audrey is a pro! She had a blast laughing and chatting the whole time!

Fun for the whole family!

Quote of the Day

Isn't having a baby around just priceless! It makes you see the world from a whole different perspective. So many times I will have so much to do around the house when Audrey and I get home but I find myself sitting on the floor playing with her, reading her a story, singing songs, or just cuddling on the couch for her nap instead. Even though my house may not be in perfect order all the time I wouldn't trade those moments with Audrey for anything.
I read this perfect quote on my cousin-in-laws blog and wanted to share it with you all...
Cleaning and scrubbing
Can wait 'til tomorrow
For babies grow up
I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs
Dust go to sleep
I'm rocking my baby
And babies don't keep.
Isn't that the truth?!

Pictures!

Audrey and I celebrating New Years! She had a darling sparkly halo and necklace thanks to my cousin Mady and she had a very fun time. We went to my Grandma's house and played games with my family all night. There was lots of good food and fun, it was a great way to end last year and begin this year!

This is a pic from our Anniversary that kind of shows my new beautiful necklace. This is right after he gave it to me and put in on me, we took the picture ourselves (i'm sure you can tell).

Drew and I enjoying our walk around the Temple Square and down memory lane. It was such a beautiful night and Drew made it so romatic!

2nd Anniversary!

Wow! Two whole years! On one hand I can't believe how fast the time goes but then on the other hand I feel like we have been together forever! Drew and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary on the 12th and Drew really spoiled me! Drew planned the night out for us and even got a babysitter without me knowing! He took me to Salt Lake to walk around Temple Square since we were married in the Salt Lake Temple. We walked through the grounds and the visitors center and then he stopped us to sit on a couch with a beautiful view of the Temple in the South Visitors Center. After a minute of just admiring the temple he said that he wanted to give me something that really meant something for our anniversary and pulled out a jewelry box! You can imagine my shock since he swore he wouldn't give me anymore jewelry after my wedding ring because I have so much! He said 2 years ago he gave me his heart and he would do it all over again and gave me the little box with a beautiful heart necklace with pink stones (I will post pictures soon)! Of course I cried! It was really gushy but I loved every minute of it! He is just so sweet! Much more sentimental then I am since I got him camo seat covers for his truck! Oh well, I think he was as happy with those as I was with the beautiful necklace he got me! Then we were going to go out to dinner at the Macaroni Grill for old time sake but when we got there we found out that it has gone out of business, how sad! So we headed over to the Gateway and enjoyed a nice dinner together, got a movie and headed home to cuddle up on the Lovesac and watch it. It was a wonderful night and an incredible way to start our 3rd year together!

Jewelry...Already!

Audrey and I went to a Lia Sophia party last night and Audrey didn't let me down! She is already in love with jewelry...definately her mom's girl! She just layed and looked at the magizine making adorable sighs and then when we went to look at the jewlry table she just got so excited pointing and squilling with a huge smile on her face! I was so proud!

9 Month Doctor's Visit

So, we went to the doctor yesterday for Audrey's 9 Month checkup...
She is a whopping 15 lbs. and is 27 in.! My little string bean! The doctor says that she is in the 5% in weight and 75% in height. She said our little Audrey is doing great and is right on schedule for everything, she growing at her own little pace and she is perfect. She is just a daintly little girl with an excellent matabolism!
Audrey loved the doctor's office until she got her shots, she let out a few little crys and then in went her fingers to console her. The only thing that would make her smile again where the smarties that we got on the way out! You'd never know it by looking at her but that little girl loves food and a treat can always put her in a good mood! She is definately her mothers daughter in that department!
